The "2024 School of Law of Incheon National University Major Career Special Lecture Series," which was ambitiously prepared by School of Law of Incheon National University to realize a "School of Law that is likely to cause heart flutters," has come to an end. And the stars of our time, which participated as special lectures in this luxury lecture series, are expected to lead to the "Big Dipper" and serve as valuable compasses and guide for School of Law of Incheon National University students.
On March 7, starting with Song Kang, the prosecutor general of the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office (currently the prosecutor general of the Ministry of Justice), Ban Ki-moon, broadcaster Jung Jae-hwan, Yoo Seung-min, former lawmaker of the National Assembly, Kim Sun-tae, the public relations officer of Chungju City, Lee Joon-seok, and Park Han-cheol, the former head of the Constitutional Court. A total of seven special lecture instructors participated in the major career special lecture series in response to the invitation of School of Law of Incheon National University, and last completed the special lecture by Park Han-chul, the former head of the Constitutional Court, on September 26.
In response, the major career special lecture series prepared by School of Law of Incheon National University was definitely as popular as the reputation of the brilliant instructors. There were many students who were surprised by the admissions power, saying, "It's a crazy special lecture lineup," and "I'll attend and listen to it even though I'm not an undergraduate student," while some asked, "Why does ISchool of Law of Incheon National University hold such big events so often?" and "How on earth can we recruit people like this?"
School of Law of Incheon National University, "The only way is to select a group of candidates in consideration of their nomination and content, and to invite them by sending an e-mail requesting a special lecture with sincerity." Seven instructors also said, "They encouraged young undergraduate students and were faithful to their values to be a guide, leading the moral responsibility of the social leadership."
According to law students, many said that the most impressive part of the major career special lecture series was Ban Ki-moon's special lecture. At the time, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in the latter half of his special lecture, "Sadly, the only existing former UN Secretary-General is now himself. In the future, I will silently practice my duties as a former UN Secretary-General to cope with the climate crisis and spread world peace and civic consciousness," and the echoing message of "The Master" sent a solemn atmosphere in the hall.
The second is that after the special lecture of lawmaker Lee Joon-seok, one of the students witnessed him while moving out of the auditorium, and posted on the student community "Everytime" that "I just saw someone similar to lawmaker Lee Joon-seok at school, and it was amazing that he was really similar." There was a line of playful pins and needles from students who attended the special lecture on the day, and the post became popular in real-time.
The total number of participants in the seven major career lectures organized by School of Law of Incheon National University was 1,589 people, and the average number of participants per special lecture was 227. In addition, the average score for student special lectures was 4.84 points based on a perfect score of 5.0, and as of October 17, out of a total of 441 media reports from School of Law of Incheon National University this year, major career lectures accounted for 243 cases, accounting for 55.1%.
The career special lecture series was an opportunity to motivate students in the School of Law of Incheon National University for future career design along with pride, and it is also evaluated that it has contributed to enhancing public relations and reputation as well as giving them the opportunity to logically explore and consider various social phenomena and relationships between majors.
School of Law of Incheon National University said that the task to be faced in the future is to plan a robust program that meets the already high expectations of students and reflects their needs and interests. It showed its willingness to draw voluntary interest from current students and prepare content that can have a practical impact on them while maintaining a steady continuity, not a temporary program.
