Lee Hyung-woo (fourth doctoral program) was finally selected for the National Research Foundation of Korea's Ph.D. Student Research Fund in the Humanities and Social Sciences in 2024, according to the Laboratory (supervisor Jeon Kyung-kyu) of Incheon National University's Graduate School of Dept. of Sport Science.

The final research goal set in this study is to compare the risk of falling according to the presence or absence of functional sarcopenia in elderly women and to investigate the effects of low-load elastic exercise.

Lee Hyung-woo will conduct a study focusing on improving muscle function and physical capabilities, which are practical concerns such as increased risk of falling due to reduced quality of life and increased risk of death, deteriorating function, and deteriorating health due to complex problems such as functional movement, muscle function and coordination factors, and proprioceptive sensory function that appear in elderly women's functional sarcopenia characteristics.

In addition, despite the importance of performing daily activities and improving functionality, research on effective exercise intervention programs is very scarce, so we want to find out the effectiveness of applying the low-load elastic exercise intervention program to induce improvement of functional movement characteristics and patterns, muscle function (muscle activation and contraction characteristics), factors (muscle activation and contraction characteristics), balance ability, and proprioceptive sensory function.
