International Summer Institute
In an increasingly globalized world, balancing our desire for growth with the need to protect our future will require a truly global perspective. The College of Commerce & Public Affairs invites applications for a four-week International Summer Institute from July 3rd to the 28th, 2017. Organized by the Global Excellence Program and hosted at INU’s Songdo campus. Participating students may select from a range of courses exploring the emerging challenges and opportunities in the global environment. Forty-eight hours of in-class instruction from visiting international scholars will be provided. These courses are designed to provide insight into current issues as well as make your time in Korea a truly memorable experience. Find more details below.

- Global Entrepreneurship with Dr. Pieter van Essen, School of International Business and Languages, Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands
- MICE and Hospitality for Global Management with Dr. Young Hoon Kim, College of Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism, University of North Texas, United States
- Economics of Sustainable Development and International Environment Regulations with Dr. Phillipp Grundmann, researcher at Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research
Details
Program date: July 3rd to the 28th, 2017
Classes will be held for 3 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, for a total of 48 class hours
Credit for the courses are recognized by Incheon National University’s partner universities
Fees
Tuition and accommodation fees for international students is paid for by the Global Excellence Program, and therefore enrollment and accommodation is free for students. However, students are responsible for their travel expenses (airfare, shuttle bus, etc.) to and from Incheon, Korea.
Eligibility
Undergraduate students from all disciplines are welcome to apply to the program. The course that you attend will be credited as an elective by your home institution.
Accommodations
Students will be lodged, free of charge, in Incheon National University dormitory for the duration of the program. The dormitory is a short walk from all on-campus classrooms and a short bus ride from the downtown core of Songdo, where many restaurants and nightlife establishments are located.
